Deb Cox

Deb has lived in the valley for 25 years, and has worked for physicians in Jackson as well as St. John's Medical Center for almost 10 years. Her two children, who are now both in college, were also raised in the Valley. She regularly volunteers for the Jackson hole Horse Rescue, and recently adopted her own horse. She also regularly volunteers for the Grand Teton National Park Foundation.

Deb really enjoys working at Jackson Hole Women's Care, because she enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them with their needs and concerns.


Stacie was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She recently moved to Jackson after graduating from Whitman College in Washington where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. With the goal of attending medical school in the future, Stacie joined Jackson Hole Women’s Care to get hands on medical experience and learn all she can from our doctors and staff. Stacie recently became a Certified Nursing Assistant through the Central Wyoming College in Jackson and mostly works at the front desk but may also be seen assisting our nursing staff.

Like many others, Stacie came to Jackson to be closer to the mountains. She enjoys summiting peaks in the Tetons, skiing, cooking, walking along the Snake River and playing with any dogs she meets.


Karlene was born in Chicago, Illinois. After finishing college and a nursing degree, she moved to California to work at Long Beach memorial, a 1,000 bed teaching hospital. A few years later, she moved to Juneau, Alaska, to work in a small town Emergency room. There, she met Dr. Hugh Owens, her husband of 32 years, who had just completed building a log cabin in Jackson, Wyoming.

After they married, Karlene and Hugh spent years traveling in the Pacific on a sailboat, visiting many remote islands from Alaska to Mexico. They moved back to Jackson permanently in 2001.

Karelene has worked in hospitals including PCU at St. Johns, clinics, home care agencies, and most recently an OB/GYN office for 9 years. She loves hiking, biking, cross country skiing, reading, and cooking. She is also a Stephen's minister. She has 2 grown children - Hans, age 29, who works for Dell computers in Oklahoma City, and Heidi, age 26, who is teaching elementary school in Jackson - as well as an adorable 2 year old grandson, August.

Karlene is thrilled to join Dr. Girling and Dr. Mercer at Jackson Hole Women's Care. She is a strong patient advocate and enjoys helping other people.

Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Minor in Psychology.

Leah Wilcox

Leah, originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, moved to Jackson Hole in 2003 after graduating from high school. Soon thereafter, she met her husband and moved to Victor, Idaho, where she now resides with him and their three children.

Leah chose to pursue her passion to become a registered nurse by attending Central Wyoming college's nursing program. Upon completing the program, while being a mother of three children, Leah graduated with Honors. She now spends her free time with her family, making every effort to enjoy the multitude of activities that the Tetons and Jackson Hole has to offer.

Leah has a sincere passion for women's health and obstetric care, and wants all of the patients she is in contact with to feel sincerely and professionally cared for.

Education: Associates of Applied Science in Nursing.

Mandy Norris, Certified Professional Coder and Medical Assistant

Mandy was born in Jackson, WY and raised in Big Piney, WY on her family cattle ranch. After finishing her Medical Assistant Certification at the Bryman School in Salt Lake City, UT she returned to the Pinedale Medical Clinic and the practice of J. Thomas Johnston, MD to do her clinicals and stayed for the next 20 years. Mandy left the Pinedale Medical clinic to join her husband Harvey of 34 years to manage a Bison Ranch in Cora, WY for 13 years. Retirement was not for Mandy so she pursued her Certified Professional Coding Certification and joined the team at Jackson Hole Womens Care.

Mandy enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her husband, 2 dogs,3 horses and her camera. When indoors you can find Mandy sewing on a quilt or quilting a quilt for someone else.
